Seed harvesting - Year 4 Hub

Today was the day of the great seed collection by the Year 4 Hub from our  Food Forest. Our students looked carefully at the different plants to make sure that we collected the right seeds. We found lots of poppy, borage, yarrow and red clover to keep our bees happy next year.  We have made envelopes and labelled these to keep our seeds safe till Spring.

The Year 4's spent a lot of time thinking about why we need bees in our garden.

After we had collected enough seeds Mr McAven weed ate all of the plants down ready for the next stage of the process which will happen in a fortnight.
