SCONE RECIPE
Makes 40
Ingredients:
10 cups of flour (250g)
15 tsp baking powder
5 eggs
5 cups of milk
Pinch of salt
Method
Preheat oven to 220 c. Lightly grease large baking tray Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Beat egg and milk together and stir into flour/baking powder mix. Knead on a floured surface until it’s a smooth dough consistency. Knead/roll the dough into a 2 cm high rectangle and cut out scones using a cookie cutter or cut into squares using a knife. Place on the greased baking and bake for approximately 12 minutes or until golden brown. Once out of the oven wrap in a clean tea towel and keep warm whilst serving.
