Chicken Lessons

Everyone at Oaklands is a life long learner and our new chickens had to have lessons on perching tonight. Just as we all practice lining up to go into class or to assembly the chickens need to line up quietly on the perch at night, not pecking the chicken beside them, and not pushing in!!

I went down when it was dark tonight to see how the girls were doing with their lining up and it looks like they are going to do really well at Oaklands School. They were sitting beautiful in a row and only made any noise when they had the torch shone on them.

Its great to see them so happy in their new home... and I couldn't believe how much of the greenery they had eaten in just one afternoon!!
