Potatoes

The Kakano Team are growing potatoes in buckets but we used Mr Brown's potato growing expertise to plant some spuds in the ground. The Year 7 & 8 boys skimmed the grass off the surface, which was harder than it looked!!

Then the boys dug the soil and broke the clods up. This took lots of muscle and it was lucky we had Jordan there! Next step was to make rows to put potatoes in and then they mounded the dirt up.

I wonder whether we will get more potatoes out of the ground or out of the buckets!!
